A Little Bit About Me!

About me...well, like many of you, I began my home business with no marketing or sales background. By the end of my first six months in business, I realized I had better develop my skill set if I truly wanted to make my business successful.

There are some great resources available and I was lucky enough to find some of the best and most helpful. Still, you learn by doing, and I have made my share of mistakes and found some real goldmines! In the spirit of my mentors, Ann Sieg, Mike Klingler, and many others, I decided to share what I have learned in the hopes of saving others time and money.

As an educator, I’ve seen the power of a positive self image. I have been in the classroom for more than thirty years working with preschoolers through adults. I spent two years researching and publishing articles on continuing education for physicians, and had a column called Outlook on Education in a Los Angeles based parent magazine, “Pony Ride”. I have my M.A. from Pepperdine University in English and Drama.

My husband and I were married in 1979 and we have a daughter and a son. Our kids are responsible for our daily belly laughs – ask me about the “famous chicken suit!” We all love being able to care for my aging mother in our home. I love our menagerie of pets. I love having my own business because it’s an adventure every day. I love the perspective and peace that comes with growing older. I value honesty and integrity and am grateful for a host of friends who exemplify these virtues. I love working with little ones because they appreciate the silly side of life…and they laugh at my jokes. At home, the competition is too stiff! It's definitely notabout me when my kids are around!
